The Client & The Challenge

Top 50 Farmers launched in 2024 with a strong mission, to identify and empower Europe's top regenerative farmers. However, the project's complex structure (applications, accelleration program, community building) required an exceptionally clear, precise, and segmented communication strategy right out of the gate. They needed to define clear targets (applicants, partners, media) and ensure that every channel, from direct farmer emails to public-facing social media, spoke with a single, compelling, and consistent voice.

Goal → To develop a strategic communication foundation that acts as the backbone for how a brand communicates across every channel.

The Approach

As a Senior Communication Strategist, I entered to shape the overall communication strategy and streamline operational delivery. Rather than treating messaging as isolated outputs, I focus on building communication as a system, one that ensures consistency, clarity, and alignment from the core narrative all the way through to execution.

1. Make every audience feel the value instantly


Working closely with the Communication Director, we defined the diverse target audiences and crafted tailored, clear messaging for each (farmers, partners, media), ensuring the brand voice stayed consistent, the purpose stayed sharp, and the value of the program landed instantly.

2. Turn every channel into a consistent story


A program this complex needed a seamless flow across multiple channels. I designed and coordinated the strategic flow across social media, direct mail, the website, and brand materials, ensuring every touchpoint told the same story and created consistent impact. Nothing was left to chance, every message, podcast, post, and asset worked together.

3. Guide the team so ideas hit the mark


I provide executive leadership for the communication team (designers, community managers, etc.), streamlining objectives and ensuring all creative output aligned with the strategic vision.

4. Let insights steer every decision


To keep the strategy sharp and evolving, I established a performance framework, tracking engagement, applications, and community impact. Using real-time insights, I recommended adjustments that refined messaging and optimized channels when needed.

The Impact

The clarity of narrative helped unlock strong earned media coverage across Europe, while also powering organic performance at scale, reaching over 1M views through social channels and steadily growing the audience base. More importantly, it wasn’t just about short-term reach.

The consistency of the strategy created momentum and trust, which now allows the platform to confidently enter its second year in 2026 with a growing farmers group and a stronger foundation to build on.
