Personal Project

Ladies, Wine & Design Ibiza started as a personal project while I was living on the island. At the time, I was looking for a sense of community within the local creative industry, a space where conversations felt open, supportive, and honest. Inspired by Ladies, Wine & Design, a global initiative created by designer & art director, Jessica Walsh, to empower women in the creative sector through talks, mentorship, and community-driven events, I decided to bring this energy to Ibiza.

Goal → Leading this chapter meant not only organizing events, but building a community from the ground up, shaping a space where collaboration felt natural and everyone had a voice.

From Intimate Beginnings to a Growing Community

What began as a simple idea, gathering a small group of creatives around a table, gradually evolved into a growing community and a series of larger, more ambitious events. What started as intimate meetups became spaces where people could openly share experiences, exchange ideas, and support each other’s personal and professional growth.

Curating Spaces for Connection and Creativity

Each event was carefully curated and hosted to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, blending creativity, conversation, and connection. Inspired by the global spirit of Ladies, Wine & Design, bringing creatives together to talk about design, business, and life, the Ibiza chapter developed its own voice shaped by the island’s unique energy.

Expanding Conversations and Creative Themes

The themes of the events expanded over time, covering topics such as mental health, entrepreneurship, women in art, creative workshops, and environmental awareness. From casual discussions to more structured talks and workshops, the format evolved alongside the community itself. Like many creative gatherings on the island, events often combined artistic expression with a relaxed, social atmosphere, similar to Ibiza’s art and wine workshops, where creativity and connection naturally come together.

From Small Gatherings to Meaningful Collaborations

As the community grew, so did the scale of the events. What once felt like small, intimate circles developed into larger gatherings, including collaborations with local institutions. One of the key milestones was partnering with Ayuntamiento de Ibiza, creating a more public and impactful event that expanded the reach of the initiative and reinforced its mission of inclusivity and support.

Building a Community from the Ground Up

Leading Ladies, Wine & Design Ibiza meant not only organizing and hosting events, but building a community from the ground up, creating a space where creativity could thrive, conversations felt meaningful, and people felt seen, supported, and inspired.

The Impact

Scaled a grassroots initiative into a recognized local creative community, delivering curated events that fostered connection, knowledge-sharing, and inclusivity. Established partnerships with local institutions and created platforms for dialogue around key topics including mental health, entrepreneurship, and women in the creative sector of the island.
